Serendipity
-
It seems you’re here to show me what I need to see
yet you think that we’re meant to be
Please let the end be a mystery
Do you believe in serendipity? The doubt wakes up with the rising sun
There’s comfort in feeling this way
But as the light burns bright and strong
I feel the fear melting awayThe world moves through me again and again
Revealing what I need to see,
Reminding me what I need to feel,
And reflecting who I need to be.The magic of the moon enlivens me
She ignites my curiosity
Dare I say yes to the light and the dark?
Love is here in the mystery. It seems you’re here to show me what I need to see
yet you think that we’re meant to be
Please let’s live in the simplicity
Perhaps it’s serendipity. The world moves through me again and again
Revealing what I need to see,
Reminding me what I need to feel,
And reflecting who I need to be.The serendipity is the mystery.

The Oxford Dictionary defines Serendipity as “the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.”
Karen and I are always talking about life, relationships, and how the universe works. This song is a reflection of one of those conversations. People come in and out of our lives for so many reasons. Sometimes, even when two people don’t see eye to eye on the purpose of the connection, there are gifts in each moment. Even through the dark, the light, and the doubt, mystery remains.
