This song was first released on Rihanna’s Unapologetic album on January 7, 2013. I connected with it even more when I heard it on Colin James’ Hearts on Fire album, released in 2015. I’ve long admired his music and style of guitar playing, both in his originals and his covers. This was no exception. The lyrics resonate with me, as though I could have written the story myself based on past experiences.
